Hey, I’m Maya

I’m an award-winning audio producer and multimedia storyteller living in Austin, Texas.
I’ve reported and produced stories on nation-wide university dorm shortages, a mysterious Jasper Johns display at a Jason’s Deli, fentanyl overdoses at a local school district and an ongoing attempt to break a Guinness World Record by people named Kyle. My work has been featured on NPR’s national broadcast.
I was a reporter with Austin’s NPR station, KUT, covering Hays County and issues across Central Texas. This Texas girl braved the cold and attended the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies in Portland, Maine last fall.
Now, I'm an Associate Producer for Click Here, a weekly podcast and public radio show about how technology is changing the world — and what that means for the rest of us.
